My Story

Becca Willman, OT, OTD, OTR, earned her Occupational Therapy Doctorate from MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2023. Becca is a mental health occupational therapist, and the first occupational therapist at Klarman Eating Disorders Center where she provides individual, group, and program-wide interventions. She also has clinical experience in other mental and behavioral health settings across the lifespan. At the Institute of Health Professions, Becca continues to serve in various leadership and teaching roles to support mental health and interprofessional education curricula.

Becca is an advocate for the value and expansion of occupational therapy in evidence-based, interprofessional, holistic eating disorder treatment and recovery, community reintegration and engagement, and relapse prevention. She has carried out pioneering research on the role of occupational therapy in eating disorder treatment, including a recent publication in the International Journal for Eating Disorders on the potential role of OT in Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, which she executed in collaboration with the MGH Eating Disorders Clinical and Research Program.
